Blu-tacking locusts then cutting off one of theirs legs and making them jump, poking tiny fly maggots with hot soldering irons to see if they feel anything ... all in a day's work 8D one of the reasons why i enjoy biology so much ;p

i love this line on the 'human jump' practical handout ' Please note: Unlike the locust jump experiments we do not want you to compare one- and two-legged jumping perfomance by surgically or otherwise removing a leg of any participant. ' :XD:
